Chapter 1
The Package
LINK

It all started that morning.

I woke up earlier than usual to the sound of booming thunder and rain hitting the roof of the academy. It rarely rained in skyloft, but I decided it wasn't so big of a deal so I went back to sleep.

When I woke up again, it was raining even harder than before and somehow, my room was slightly darker. I looked at the small clock I had on the edge of my desk.  The hands were both pointed torwards the 12. It was noon.

I stepped out of my room and walked torwards the cafeteria for... I don't really know. Breakfast? Lunch? Brunch? Well anyway, Groose caught up with me about halfway there.

"You're finally awake. Zelda was looking for you..." He paused. "She said she had a package for you or something."

"Allright. I guess I'll find her after I eat." I said.

The cafeteria was dark. The only light was the scarce sunlight and the frequent flashes of lighning.

"It's gotten way darker since I was out earlier," Groose observed, probably to start up a conversation.

"I noticed that," I replied. "When i woke up earlier today."

"You were up?" He asked, suprised.

"Yeah, but for about a millisecond." I said as we stepped into the lines to get our food.

"I see you're awake, sleepyhead." I heard a voice behind me. I swung around to see Zelda standing right there.

"Yup. So... I hear you have a package for me or something?" I said, glancing over at Groose for a quick second. My timing was perfect because right after, an ear-shattering crack of thunder hit.

Zelda nodded. "I see that Groose told you," She said. "I'll get it to you after lunch."

We ate our food in silence. The only sounds were the rain hitting the roof of the academy and the frequent blasts of loud thunder.

"Come with me to pick it up." Zelda said out of the blue. "It's at the Item Check in the bazaar right now."

"Okay," I said after I swallowed my last bite of breakfast or whatever it was.

Groose then got up, threw his food away, put his tray in the stack of other peoples' used trays and left. I did the same, but I didn't leave beacuse Zelda was still eating and we had to go pick up my package.

"Come on." She said when she finished her lunch and threw it away. I nodded and she led me outside into the pouring rain.

I was drenched within a second of going outside. I could barely see an inch in front of me. Fog and thick sheets of rain blocked my vision as Zelda and I made our way to the bazaar.

Thunder cracked. I was ready to go deaf beacuse it was so loud. The lightning had hit a tree nearby. I could feel the heat. A flaming branch fell right in front of me and I had to jump backwards in order to get out of the way of it. I leapt over it, careful not to catch my tunic on fire in the process.

"Watch out!" Zelda yelled over the howling wind, booming thunder and pouring rain. She must have seen that branch almost squish me. I laughed to myself and continued on.

We stepped into the bazaar, soaked and tired. Normally it would take not much effort at all. This trip felt like I just sprinted a whole mile though. Fighting strong winds is pretty hard to do.

Zelda and I walked torwards the Item Check. There was a wrenching feeling inside of me. Every step I took, it got worse, and I did the stupidest thing ever. I ignored it.

By the time I reached the Item Check with Zelda, I felt sick. Not like the sickness where you could throw up, but more of the sickness you get when you're really nervous. But i wasn't nervous. Not at all. It's just a package.

I waited as Zelda went up to the Item Check to pick up the package.  She took the package, said her thanks, then handed me the package as we began to walk out of the empty bazaar.
The package was tiny and light. When it was my hands, I felt light-headed. It was hard to walk through a storm with high-speed winds and heavy rain when you're not feeling the best.
When we arrived at the academy, Zelda must have noticed something different.

"Are you okay?" She asked me, her expression concerned.

"I 'm fine," I lied simply.

"You don't sound fine," She stated.

"But I am," I said before changing the subject. "Let's go to my dorm to open the package," I said.

"If you insist." She said, and we walked to my dorm.

I sat down in my bed and opened the tiny box. I stared down inside at the small, dark purple crystal inside of the box.

I suddenly got a bad headache. It got worse for every second I stared at the crystal, but I was curious.

"Looks like some kind of crystal," I said. I examined it in spite of the headache before standing up to bring it over to Zelda, who was sitting at my desk.

When I stood, my knees buckled and I fell to the ground.
I know. It really sucks. So far the beginning of Chapter Three is the best.
I'm not a good writer. But whatever.

It's kinda short, but i don't really write for length. You'll see that my chapters don't get too long unless there's a lot going on in each one of them.
